Video capsule endoscopy

Endoscopic investigation of the gastrointestinal tract which allows us to take a closer look at the inside walls of the small intestine.

This examination is useful in cases of iron deficiency anaemia that has not been explained by gastroscopy or colonoscopy. 

It is also carried out to confirm a diagnosis of Crohn’s disease in the small intestine.
