Originally from Lebanon, Dr Berj Armenian completed his medical studies at the American University of Beirut. He did his post-graduate training in the Departments of Clinical Pathology, Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Jersey (US) and obtained Certification from the American Board of Gastroenterology. He worked for 5 years in the Department of Gastroenterology at the Geneva University Hospitals and received a post-graduate degree in Gastroenterology from the Swiss Medical Association. In 2002, Dr Armenian created the Department of Gastroenterology at Hôpital de la Tour and has practised there for 12 years. He is an associate and co-founder of GGHA with Dr Alain Vonlaufen. Dr Armenian performs all routine and interventional endoscopic examinations with a particular focus on endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP).
